Hello 11|28 Prayer Partners!
Happy August 28th! Thank you for praying with us and for us on the 28th day and throughout the month. We really are so thankful for each of you.
Some things we are thankful for:
- Mike became the first 11|28 staff member on August 1st. (We are especially thankful for our friend Kelly who has helped us immensely getting this set up correctly!)
- We nailed down a meeting space! We officially signed a contract with the Oak Creek Community Center and will be able to use their space at a really discounted rate! Their space is perfect for us as we get started.
- We had 63 people join us for a baseball game on August 15th.
- We served at the Oak Creek PopUp Beer Garden which produced good connections for some of our team. We also met several new families that live in Oak Creek.
- We have added several new people to our community, pushing us to 60 regulars!
- We enjoyed dinner with the Lakepoint staff after spending the last year with them. We will really miss seeing these amazing people every day!
Specific things to be praying for:
- We are hoping to work out a deal for an office space. Please pray we can work that out in the next week (We’re thankful for our friend Jodi who has many connections and has helped facilitate getting the ball rolling on an everyday space, for Life Group meetings especially).
- That we would look more and more like the church we’re supposed to be. September is a big month for us!
- Pray for our Sunday Brunch tomorrow (August 29th) morning. We have 65 people registered to join us. We are praying that 10-15 new people would say yes to making a difference in the community by joining 11|28 community!
- Pray for our second Beer Garden serve opportunity on September 18th. We hope to meet several more people from Oak Creek and let them know about what we are up to.
- Pray for our Life Groups, which are set to begin after Labor Day weekend. We would love to have 30 adults in a regular group with others.
