Love Devotional, Day 2
Pray for Those Who Hurt You
Scripture: Luke 6:28 (NLT)
“Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.”
Reflection:
Jesus taught us to pray for our enemies, and this is one of the hardest parts of loving like Jesus. It feels unnatural to pray for someone who has hurt us. But Jesus’ words are clear—bless, don’t curse. Pray, don’t hold a grudge. The moment we choose to pray for those who have wronged us, God begins to change our hearts.
Action Step:
Think of someone who has hurt you. Take a moment to pray for them today, asking God to bless them. Pray for healing for your own heart as well.
Prayer:
Father, I bring before You the person who has hurt me. Help me to forgive them, as You have forgiven me. Work in their heart and mine, bringing healing where there is pain.
