After his resurrection Jesus walked with his disciples, encouraged them, and gave them a mission that extends through to today. The first Christians carried out this mission boldly, sacrificing their own health and wellbeing for the sake of taking the salvation message from east to west. They lived out the mission and message of Jesus in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

This mission hasn’t changed. If we’re a follower of Jesus, we are to go and make disciples in all nations. The work that begins here in us, is the same work that God asks us to take to those near and far.

As we close out 2024, let’s sacrificially embrace God’s mission for us to reach Here, Near, and Far with the message of Jesus.
